Court Advocacy Report Court Advocates continue to follow the Derek Tate Jr. murder case which reportedly has not had any progress in convicting the alleged shooting offender in over a year. It has been over three and a half years since Alex Medina, charged with supplying the gun to the shooter, was arrested and he remains free on bond. The fact that this court case has been drawn out so long over the years has been very hard and frustrating for the family, the court advocates attending the case and the police who made the arrests.
