General Announcements
Sgt Velgara reported that on Oct 24th, at 5:30am, a Spanish Lord fired 8 shots in Lazo’s on Western Ave. Police caught the offender.
Sgt Velgara also reported that auto thefts were up last month in our Beat and across the city.

CLEARMap
From November 8th - 30th, according to CLEARMap, Beat 1431 suffered 59 crimes, a decrease of 42 from last month (101), NOTE: this crime data was not available for the first week of November, therefore, the comparison between months is not completely accurate:

Beat 1431 Section Reports
SECTION 1 (Borders: California, Milwaukee, Armitage)
1) No activity was reported.
action: Residents are urged to continue calling 911 to report the ongoing gang and criminal activity.

SECTION 2 (Borders: Rockwell, Lyndale, Western, Milwaukee)
1) A representative from V Live at 2047 N. Milwaukee reported that there were three arrests inside the club for battery in the past month. These were people fighting for personal reasons inside the club, usually over a girl friend or wife.
2) A neighbor reported hearing vibrations from the bass in his third floor bedroom during some performances at V Live. They are loud and keep him awake at night. Noise cannot be heard outside his building or on other floors. He said staff has been nice, but have not resolved this problem. He is hoping there will be further follow up by V Live. Another neighbor said she has heard vibrations in her basement also. V Live staff at meeting said it may be related to door in back being opened for smokers to go in and out.
3) V Live will have extra security for New Year’s Eve when they expect close to 1900 people, full capacity. The V Live representative said that their security extends to the parking lot but not beyond that. Call Ulysses at 630-660-6939 to have someone come and pick up the trash and bottles after V Live events.
4) The representative from Congress Pizza reported that there was a fight between two drivers. One has been fired.
5) A Rave with 50-100 kids was put out of business on 2000 block of Western in the last half of November.
6) More panhandlers, one of them reportedly a Spanish Lord, have been reported at Walgreens and CVS in the past month.
action: Club 2047 criminal activity, Congress Theater & Tini Martini nuisances and Congress Pizza gang activity remain priorities in this section.

SECTION 3 (Borders: Rockwell, Fullerton, Western, Lyndale)
1) Drivers are going the wrong way down Medill, a one-way street and then making U-turns in intersection of Medill and Campbell.
2) A 2 flat on the 2400 block of Medill has apparently been abandoned by its owners for unknown reasons. The alderman's office has been advised and reported that the building has not been sold.
action: Residents are strongly urged to call 911 to report gang activity and 311 for graffiti.

SECTION 4 (Borders: California, Fullerton, Rockwell, Milwaukee)
1) No activity was reported

SECTION 5 (Borders: California, Logan Boulevard, Rockwell, Fullerton)
1) More gang graffiti has been reported on garages around Haas Park.
action: Residents are strongly urged to call 911 if they hear or see any suspicious activity.

SECTION 6 (Borders: Rockwell, Logan Boulevard, Western, Fullerton)
1) A pile of boxes, garbage cans, rugs and other garbage is being used by a homeless person camping out next to the Kennedy between Western and Artesian.
