Court Advocacy Report
Two members of beat 1431 were court advocates during April. They attended court several times during the month. Five of the cases they were following resulted in guilty charges. They included the following:
| DATE | LAST NAME | FIRST NAME | CHARGE | VERDICT | SENTENCE |
| 4/27/2007 | Ortiz | Jonathan | drinking on public way | guilty | Time served - 1 day |
| 5/1/2007 | Gonzalez | William | Obstruct Traffic | guilty | 3 months court supervision |
| 5/1/2007 | Amaro | Joshua | Obstruct Traffic | guilty | Time served - 1 day |
| 5/1/2007 | Vincente | Juan | Obstruct Traffic | guilty | Time served - 1 day |
| 5/1/2007 | Rivera | Joshua | Obstruct Traffic | guilty | 3 months court supervision |
In nine of the cases they were following, charges were dismissed mainly because officers did not show up in court. But they encouraged everyone to attend as many of these cases as possible.

4) 2059 Bingham is having problems. There are too many people living there and they have two pit bulls which are bothering the elderly woman who lives on the 2nd floor with her handicapped son. A meeting with the owner, police and Alderman Flores will be set up soon.
5) Ricky Vasquez has reportedly been dealing drugs out of a blue Cadillac. A report was called in to the police but Lino Quin was seen getting the drugs out of the car before police got there.
6) On April 14 two Latin Lovers threw bottles through a car window with two small children in the back seat. The driver got out of his car and beat up the two Latin Lovers. Police were called and the two Latin Lovers were arrested.
7) No Friction Cafe on California and Point had its front door kicked down in the middle of April.
