January 19th, 2017
The next meeting for Beat 1431 is scheduled for Thursday, March 16th, 2017, 7:00pm at Haas Park Field House, 2402 N. Washtenaw. Please note, Beat 1432 will no longer be combined with 1431 meetings. The next 1432 Beat meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 23rd, 2017, 7:00pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2022 W. Dickens.

General Announcements
2017 Crime Abatement Workshops for Landlords and Property Managers
The Chicago Police Department, in partnership with the Departments of Buildings and Law, along with Community Investment Corporation (CIC) will be hosting a series of workshops for the owners and managers of residential properties of various sizes. Arrest Report
Number of arrests since the last CAPS meeting:
- Beat 1431: 18 arrests and 14 Investigatory Stops
- Impact Arrests
- (2) Theft under $500 - Cleared 6 robberies/thefts
- 23XX N. Western – Arrestee & co-arrestee were observed at a gas station matching the description of offenders wanted in a recent theft. Further investigation revealed these offenders were pumping gas into a vehicle reported stolen. After arrestees were taken into custody, investigation revealed these individuals were wanted in a recent crime pattern and were charged with 5 additional thefts or robberies. The third offender from these incidents was later arrested in the 11th district.
- (1) Robbery-Strong arm
- 20XX N. Milwaukee – Arrestee and co-offender entered the drug store and proceeded to force the staff to open the safe and remove cash. A "flash message" was sent and 14th District officers observed offender matching the description nearby. Arrestee was positively identified by victim and taken into custody.

- Beat 1432: 33 arrests and 8 Investigatory Stops
- Impact Arrests
- (1) Robbery armed-other dangerous weapon
- 4051 N. Lincoln – Offender wanted for several real thefts at CVS stores and displaying a knife to make a getaway. Offender was located at CVS at 4051 N. Lincoln armed with a knife. The offender was placed in custody and was linked to the robbery pattern.

Court Advocacy Reports
A Court Advocate has been following the robbery case that occurred at Fresh Market Place (a cashier was held up by 2 offenders). One of the offenders has been detained in jail and the next court date is February 22nd, 2017.

SECTION 2 (Borders: Rockwell, Lyndale, Western, Milwaukee)
1) Concord Music Hall had no safety issues to report and will be having more acts entering Spring
2) No representatives from Congress Pizza were present. Rumor has it that the restaurant will close in the Spring and the property will undergo new development.
action: Residents are strongly urged to call 911 to report any illegal patron or employee behavior at businesses along Milwaukee Ave.
SECTION 3 (Borders: Rockwell, Fullerton, Western, Lyndale)

SECTION 4 (Borders: California, Fullerton, Rockwell, Milwaukee)
1) PO McNamara is working with the Goethe Elementary School Principal to encourage the school to post signs with the playground hours. Officers are also ticketing parents who are parking illegally around the school during drop-off and pickup times.

SECTION 5 (Borders: California, Logan Boulevard, Rockwell, Fullerton)

SECTION 6 (Borders: Rockwell, Logan Boulevard, Western, Fullerton)
1) A resident reported that the corner house at Artesian and Altgeld might still be attracting homeless squatters. The home has been boarded up, however, it continues to suffer break-ins. The police have been monitoring it periodically, however, it might need additional city services attention.
